How SAGAA Protects Member Privacy
SAGAA is committed to protecting the privacy and safety of our members. We recognize that sexual orientation and gender identity are deeply personal, and that not all queer (LGBTQ+) actuaries are publicly out in their professional or personal lives. For this reason, SAGAA does not share or provide lists of individual members, including names or contact information to sponsors, employers, or other third parties without a member’s consent.
Sponsors may receive aggregated, non-identifying information (such as total membership counts or high-level demographics) for reporting and partnership purposes. Any use of member information beyond this requires prior opt-in authorization from the affected members.
By joining SAGAA, members can trust that their participation will be treated with respect for their privacy.
SAGAA members are expected to respect one another’s privacy. A person’s membership in SAGAA should not be disclosed to others without that individual’s consent. This includes disclosure to employers, colleagues, sponsors, or on social media. Members should not assume that another member is “out” simply because they participate in SAGAA activities.
